2014 C Division Tournament

2014 South Zone C Division Tournament started on 3/7/2014. Our C Boys represented HSS to participate in the tournament. In the first round drawing lot, we were set in Group E (Bishan Park Secondary School, Bartley Secondary School, Yu Ying Secondary School, Whitley Secondary, and Henderson Secondary School). The First two games, we beat BPSS and BSS, but at the third game, we lost to YYSS, the situation suddenly became serious. The Last game was with Whitley Secondary School who just defeated Yu Ying and did not lose a single game so far. If we lost to Whitley we  would lose all our hope. So the last game became our do-or-die battle. Win we would be in, loss we would be out. Win or loss? Our C boys chose to win. At this last battle, our C boys worked really hard as a team and strove for the best. To the surprise of the majority, our C boys defeated Whitley by 62:47 and entered the second round.

Congradulations to the C boys, they have made a new record!

To the HSS C boys, entering round 2 is not an end, but a new start. Bryan, the captain of the team, said:"we know we are the weak side, we are still far from the strongs teams in round 2. However, we will not lose our hope. It is a chance for us to learn from the other teams. We will try our best for the games."
