all again and thank you for your concern with our CCA Blog.
The South Zone B Division Basketball Competition has already
started. After drawing lots, HSS were deployed into Group E. According to the draw-lot,
the four members in this group were: Gan Eng Seng Secondary School, Henderson
Secondary School, Yuying Secondary School and Holy Innocents’ High School.
Among the four teams of Group E, according to our coach’s
strength analysis, GES would be the top team, HSS and YYS would be at the same
level, and HIH would be a little bit weaker than the rest of the three teams.
The battle of First Round started on 15 Jan. In our first match, HSS beat HIH. In
the second match, our B boys gave us a great surprise, they won GES by 6 points
(43:37). In our last match with Yuying, we led the score for 4 quarters.
However, in the last 5 minutes, we lost the control of the game, and finally,
we lost the match by 6 points.
After 3 matches, the three schools (GES, HSS, YSS) all
obtained the same points (3 wins and 1 loss). According to the calculation of
the convenor, YSS won the first place in Group E, HSS won the 2nd
place, and GES out. In what follows, we attached some photos of our Bboys. Congratulations
the HSS Bboys. Lets’ cheer for them.
