In this year's South Zone B Division Basketball Competition, the HSS team did a very good job. The boys played very well in the first round. They managed to beat ACS (Int), BHS, SJI (Int). Although they lost to QSS, they still managed to secure a place for the second round. In the second round, the HSS boys met even stronger teams such as RI, CH, MF, PS and BPS, yet the HSS boys were not afraid of difficulties, they played even more bravely. They lost to RI and CH only by 6 and 10 points, respectively. Although they did not enter the semi-final, their fighting spirit was praised by all.
The HSS boys also learned something from the competition. Jeremy Too (the capitain of the HSS team) said: 'We learned quite a lot from the competition, such as team work and understanding. When you are in trouble, you must cool down and find out a way to sove the problem. Our mission demands that we should always strive for more, in all that we do, and never give up. When we go back to school, we need to summarize and work much harder so as to achieve a better result.'
We sincerely hope that the HSS team can strive foreard and achieve better results.
